Commercial apple farming begins in Myagdi’s Gajne

Commercial apple farming has been initiated for the first time in Gajne, Beni Municipality–5 of Myagdi district, on a 30-ropani farm operated by Prabin Agriculture and Livestock Farm. Farm operator Yadav Poudel invested around Rs 20 million in the venture, which was launched after a successful trial. Poudel plans to expand the orchard and develop a homestay under an agro-tourism concept in the coming years. This marks the first commercial-scale apple farming initiative in the area, although household cultivation exists nearby.
