7,462 children being protected under government radar – Economic Survey

In the current fiscal year, 588 children vulnerable to violence and risks have been rescued, with a total of 7,462 children receiving relief, protection, and counseling services. In the previous fiscal year, 1,055 children were rescued from violence and risk. Additionally, 2,658 street children have been managed since May 2016. National strategies to end child marriage and child-responsive budgeting have been implemented, and 1,176 children involved in legal disputes are housed in juvenile correction centers.
