Minister for Information and Communications, Dr. Bikram Timilsina, stated that the government has no intention of curtailing the press and is committed to press freedom as guaranteed by the Constitution. He urged the journalism sector to maintain its dignity and boundaries, assuring that the government will not interfere if these are upheld. Timilsina also pledged to strengthen Press Council Nepal and the Central Board of Film Censor.
