Prisoner Escapes Central Jail

A prisoner, 25-year-old Sapana Tamang, has escaped from the women's block of the Central Jail in Sundhara, Kathmandu. Tamang, who was serving a sentence for abduction and attempted murder, reportedly climbed over the compound wall around 1:30 AM on Friday. Officials stated she escaped through a window and then scaled the wall. The Valley Police Office confirmed an investigation is underway into the incident.
