Consumption Of Petroleum Products Decreases By 10%

According to the Economic Survey 2082/83, the consumption of petroleum products like petrol and diesel has decreased by approximately 10 percent in the current fiscal year compared to the previous year, coinciding with an increase in electricity consumption. This shift is also reflected in a decrease in cooking gas usage due to the rising adoption of electric stoves. With electricity access reaching 99.1 percent of the population and a total installed power capacity of 4,105 megawatts, Nepal has exported 2,918 gigawatt hours of electricity to India.
