Police in Kathmandu arrested nine foreign women from the Thamel area on charges of soliciting tourists for sexual activities. According to Superintendent of Police Pawan Kumar Bhattarai, the women, aged 22 to 42, were from Vietnam, Bangladesh, and Uganda and had entered Nepal on visit visas. After being fined for indecent behavior, they were deported by the Department of Immigration with a one-year ban on re-entry.

Police in Siraha have arrested Pabitra Narayan Yadav on charges of physically assaulting a 60-year-old Dalit woman. The alleged assault occurred two weeks prior after the woman's buffalo entered Yadav's paddy field. The arrest was made following a complaint filed by the woman under the offense of indecent behavior.
