The Public Accounts Committee (PAC) is prioritizing financial discipline and addressing the nation's significant arrears, which currently stand at Rs 755 billion. Separately, the Commission for Investigation of Abuse of Authority has filed charges against three government witnesses in a corruption case at the Special Court for changing their testimonies. The Council of Ministers also failed to appoint a new chairman for the Securities Board of Nepal.

HAMS Hospital is undertaking a significant expansion, investing 50 crore NPR to double its bed capacity to 200 and construct a new 8-story facility. Everest Colour Limited is set to launch its initial public offering (IPO) for the general public, having received approval from the Securities Board of Nepal to issue shares valued at NPR 7.9 crore. Concurrently, Kalanga Hydro Limited has also launched its IPO, offering shares equivalent to 35% of its NPR 1.4 billion issued capital.

The Securities Board of Nepal has approved initial public offerings (IPOs) for 24 companies, allowing the sale of approximately 91.18 million ordinary shares valued at around Rs 9.11 billion. The approvals, granted by mid-April of the current fiscal year, predominantly feature 15 hydropower projects, alongside companies from the manufacturing, development bank, and hotel and tourism sectors. This move signifies growing interest in raising capital through Nepal's stock market.

Shovakanta Poudel has been appointed as the Chairperson of the Board of Directors of Nepal Bank Limited, taking the oath of office on Tuesday. Meanwhile, a recommendation committee has shortlisted four candidates for the chairperson position at the Securities Board of Nepal (SEBON) following applications from 47 individuals.
