Motorcycle Accident on Kaligandaki Corridor Claims Two Lives

Two individuals, Laxman Thapa and Girman Singh Rana, died following a motorcycle accident on the Rudrabeni-Purtighat road section of the Kaligandaki Corridor in Gulmi district on Sunday night. The motorcycle reportedly fell approximately three meters off the road around 10:00 PM, according to Deputy Superintendent of Police Ganga Bahadur Saru.

  • The deceased were identified as Laxman Thapa, 34, and Girman Singh Rana, 45, both residents of Bhustung in Syangja district's Kaligandaki Rural Municipality.
  • The accident occurred in the Thulabagar Chaldi area of Satyawati Rural Municipality-1 while the motorcycle was traveling from Rudrabeni towards Chemi.
  • Both victims sustained critical injuries and later died while undergoing treatment at the Primary Health Center in Ridi.
  • Police have taken the motorcycle into custody, and an investigation into the cause of the accident is underway.
  • The bodies were transported to Gulmi Hospital for post-mortem examination.
