Pokhara Metropolitan City Begins Riverbank Encroachment Clearance Drive

Pokhara Metropolitan City has begun clearing riverbanks, starting with the Phirke river, where over 160 structures have been identified. The metropolis has set specific setback standards for various rivers and streams, including 6 meters for the Phirke River and 30 meters for the Seti River. While a public notice was issued, demolition work was temporarily halted after citizens approached the court.
