Manpower agent held in sting over Rs 300,000 extortion of Malaysia-bound worker

A manpower agent was apprehended in a sting operation in Kathmandu for allegedly attempting to extort Rs 300,000 from a worker scheduled to fly to Malaysia. Despite the government's "Free Visa, Free Ticket" policy limiting service fees to Rs 10,000, the agent demanded a significantly higher amount. The worker, Ajay Kumar Yadav, had already paid Rs 70,000 but was threatened with not being allowed to travel without the additional sum. Police intervened, recovering passports and documents from the agent.
