Government doubles nurses’ night allowance, plans burn care upgrade

The government will double night-shift allowances for nursing staff in public health facilities and upgrade burn treatment facilities at Bir Hospital and Kirtipur Hospital. Finance Minister Dr. Swarnim Wagle announced these measures in the federal budget for fiscal year 2026/27 to improve the welfare of healthcare workers and strengthen specialized care.
