NAC owes over Rs 55 billion to EPF and CIT

Nepal Airlines Corporation (NAC) owes over Rs 55.47 billion in loans, including principal and interest, to the Employees Provident Fund (EPF) and the Citizens Investment Trust (CIT). The national flag carrier borrowed Rs 22 billion from EPF in 2013 and Rs 12 billion from CIT in 2018 for aircraft purchases. Currently, NAC's debt stands at Rs 31.33 billion to EPF and Rs 21.12 billion to CIT, with the loans secured under government guarantees.
