Authorities Order Immediate Recall of Nova Ice Cream Over Safety Concerns

The Department of Food Technology and Quality Control has ordered the immediate recall of Nova brand ice cream, produced by Fishtail Dairy Pvt. Ltd., after laboratory tests found it unfit for human consumption. The product, manufactured in the Pokhara Industrial Area, was declared unsafe due to high levels of total bacterial count, coliform bacteria, and Enterobacteriaceae. The department has directed the recall of the 1,000 ml packaging of Nova ice cream, batch dated 2082/04/19, and instructed manufacturers and distributors to halt sales and distribution of the affected batch.
