Green hydrogen gas conversion to cooking gas, trial successful in Baglung

A groundbreaking technology for producing green hydrogen gas for cooking has been successfully developed and tested in Badigad Rural Municipality, Baglung, Nepal. This initiative, a collaborative effort involving Tribhuvan University and other scientific institutions, began as a pilot project three years ago and has now progressed to filling cylinders for cooking stove use. The hydrogen is extracted using electricity from the Giringdikhola small hydropower project, utilizing previously wasted energy.
