Camera Trapping Underway in Myagdi to Identify Red Panda Population

Cameras have been installed in the Jaljala and Dhorpatan Hunting Reserve areas of Myagdi to identify the population status of the endangered Red Panda (Habre). The Bio-diversity Conservation Society Nepal has installed 12 automatic cameras in likely Habre movement areas. A study is also underway regarding the health status of Habre in the region. The Red Panda is listed as a protected species in Nepal.
