Electricity consumption is rising nationwide, leading to a gradual decline in the use of petroleum products, with petrol and diesel consumption decreasing by 10 percent and 9.9 percent, respectively, in the first eight months of the current fiscal year. Electricity access has reached 99.1 percent of the population, though challenges remain in ensuring reliable supply in some areas. The country's installed electricity capacity is 4,105 megawatts, and 2,918 gigawatt-hours of electricity have been exported to India.
