Nepal Oil Corporation's Amlekhgunj Depot Sees Doubled Petrol Imports

Nepal Oil Corporation's Amlekhgunj depot has seen a twofold increase in petrol imports this fiscal year, with 400,000 kiloliters imported compared to 184,000 kiloliters last year, partly due to pipeline imports. Diesel imports saw a slight increase. Petrol is now distributed nationwide from Amlekhgunj via pipeline, reducing illegal activities and transportation costs, though overall fuel consumption has decreased recently due to rising global prices.
