Kathmandu Metropolitan City has conducted a capacity enhancement training and simulation exercise with security agencies and stakeholders for effective monsoon disaster management. Acting Mayor Sunita Dangol highlighted the risk of 'urban flood' due to increasing urbanization and stated that 74 locations are at high risk. The training, involving Nepal Police, Armed Police Force, Nepali Army, Nepal Scout, Red Cross, and students, aims to improve the effectiveness of 'first responders' during disasters.
