Kathmandu Metropolitan City trains security agencies for monsoon disaster preparedness

Kathmandu Metropolitan City has conducted a disaster preparedness training and simulation exercise with security agencies and stakeholders to enhance monsoon disaster management. Acting Mayor Sunita Dangol stated the initiative aims to reduce loss of life and property, noting that increasing urbanization poses an 'urban flood' risk in 74 high-risk locations identified by the city.
