The National Agricultural Modernization Project Jomsom is promoting the use of a biological solution called ‘Epiphytic Lactic Acid Bacteria’ as an alternative to pesticides for fruit crops in Myagdi, Mustang, Baglung, and Parbat. This organic solution, prepared from local herbs, is being tested and implemented to reduce reliance on chemical pesticides, making apple farming in Mustang completely organic. Farmers are being trained in its preparation, and the project also supports commercial agricultural centers for various crops and livestock.
