National Investigation Department brought under PM’s Office again

Prime Minister Balendra Shah has placed the National Investigation Department under the Office of the Prime Minister and Council of Ministers through the Nepal Government (Work Division) Regulations. This move reinstates a structure previously implemented by KP Sharma Oli, which had faced criticism for power centralization. The government is also initiating the dissolution of the Revenue Investigation Department.
