Energy Ministry Seeks Applications for Electricity Regulatory Commission Leadership

The Ministry of Energy, Water Resources and Irrigation has invited applications for vacant positions within the Electricity Regulatory Commission, including one chairperson and four member posts, through open competition. This process aims to fill the leadership vacuum created after previous officials were automatically removed from their positions.

  • One of the four member positions in the Electricity Regulatory Commission has been reserved for women.
  • The application process is being conducted in accordance with Section 5 of the Electricity Regulatory Commission Act, 2074.
  • Interested candidates must submit their applications to the Development Assistance and Technical Coordination Division within 15 days of the notice publication.
  • A three-member recommendation committee, chaired by ministry secretary Chiranjivi Chataut, has been formed to facilitate the selection process.
