Nepal's smartphone imports have surpassed the total value of the previous fiscal year within the first 10 months of the current fiscal year 2025/26, reaching Rs. 39.39 billion. This indicates a rise in the import of higher-priced devices, with imports increasing by 37% in value and 4% in quantity compared to the same period last year. China remains the largest source of smartphone imports, followed by India, contributing significantly to government revenue.
