Imports surge 15% to reach Rs 794 billion in 10 months via Birgunj customs

Imports through the Birgunj customs point have increased by 15% to Rs 794.87 billion in the first 10 months of the current fiscal year, a rise of Rs 102.44 billion compared to the same period last year. Petroleum products accounted for the largest share of imports at Rs 181.70 billion, followed by iron and steel items worth Rs 69.42 billion.
