Pokhara Metropolitan City is commencing the demolition of structures illegally built within the Firke River corridor today, following the expiration of a 35-day notice for removal. Mayor Dhanraj Acharya stated that the clearance campaign will begin simultaneously from three locations, targeting all structures identified within the river boundary as per a survey report. The anti-encroachment drive will be conducted under the leadership of ward chairpersons and local representatives.
