Severe rainfall in South China’s Guangdong has forced the evacuation of more than 16,000 residents due to rising flood risks from torrential downpours. Provincial officials confirmed that over 16,000 people had been relocated to safer areas after continuous heavy rain heightened the threat of widespread flooding. Emergency response systems have been activated, with rescue and disaster mitigation teams deployed to high-risk zones in Yangjiang, Jiangmen, and Zhuhai.
