Today’s weather forecast: Clouds in mountainous areas and heat wave in lowlands
The country is experiencing the influence of westerly and local winds, along with a low-pressure area near its eastern part. The Department of Hydrology and Meteorology forecasts generally cloudy conditions in Koshi, Bagmati, and Gandaki provinces this afternoon, with partly cloudy weather in the hilly and mountainous terrain of other regions. Light to moderate rain or thundershowers with temporary gusty winds are expected in several hilly and terai areas. Hot days and heat waves are anticipated in the hilly terrain of the Far-Western and Lumbini provinces and the Terai terrain, respectively.
