Nepal Police reported 124 drunk-driving accidents nationwide in Baisakh, resulting in 12 deaths and 174 injuries. The Kathmandu Valley recorded 37 of these accidents, with two fatalities and 50 injuries. Police spokesperson Abinayaran Kafle urged drivers to follow traffic rules, noting an increase in drunk driving during nights, holidays, and festivals, and highlighted intensified traffic monitoring and awareness campaigns.
