Madhes industrial capacity utilisation rises to 37%, credit flow expands

Industrial capacity utilisation in Madhes Province increased to 36.89% in the first half of the current fiscal year, with the liquor industry showing the highest utilisation and synthetic textiles the lowest. Credit flow to the private sector also rose by 2.67%. Parsa district accounted for the largest share of industrial credit. The National Statistics Office estimates Madhes Province's GDP to grow by 1.31% in fiscal year 2025/26.
