Goods and commodities worth NPR 794.87 billion were imported through the Birgunj Customs Office in the first 10 months of the current fiscal year, marking a 15 percent increase from the previous year. Information Officer Uday Singh Bista attributed the rise primarily to increased imports of petroleum products and iron-related goods. During this period, imports of petroleum products amounted to NPR 181.70 billion, while iron and iron-related goods totaled NPR 69.42 billion.
