Jhapa Company Cultivates Tea and Areca Nut Together

Hadiya Real Tea Estate in Jhapa has begun cultivating tea and areca nut together on 60 bighas of land, a first for a commercial company in the district. This mixed cultivation utilizes the similar climate and soil requirements of both crops, with the taller areca nut trees providing shade for the tea bushes. The company aims to obtain dual benefits from the same land and investment, with plans to expand this model to its entire 102-bigha tea garden.
