Camera trapping to identify condition of endangered red panda in Dhaulagiri

Camera traps have been installed in Jaljala and Dhorpatan Hunting Reserve in Dhaulgiri Rural Municipality to assess the condition of the endangered red panda. The Biodiversity Conservation Society Nepal set up these devices to study the red panda's behavior, habitat, and health, including the study of parasites. The red panda is a protected mammal in Nepal, with poaching carrying severe penalties.
